Authentic French plates in this gem of a brasserie in the village of larkspur. Superior French onion soup with just the right amount properly caramelized the onions and good gruyère. Nothing is better with a chilled glass of rosé from Provence and my favorite water.

I had heard from someone that the food was below average here. My friend made a surprise reservation last Friday night because he’s eaten at the one in SF, and I must say, I was skeptical.
The sun was setting on the front of the restaurant and the warm light rushed into the interior warming up the bar and the various artworks on the wall.
We had a lovely server name Emma who was friendly, engaging and knowledgeable.
We shared a funghi pizza ( a little bland) and ordered a the little gem salad which was excellent.
We then shared a braised half chicken with fennel. Deliciously flavored. I’d come back again!
